if I bow deep to the spirit
so I might touch this earth
To find the roots of my being
and find the gift of my true worth


if I reach to touch the stars up high
I might connect with the light
that is sent across the skies
In threads connecting the DNA in you and I


I know there is just this moment
but I feel there is so much more
lifetime after lifetime I have lived
to reach some answers behind loves door


and perhaps it was always waiting
right here inside my life
and I was just not able to believe
that I was worthy enough to find


and I always return to you lord
in the quiet moments before the dawn
I find enough still there for me
to have the strength to carry on


so I bow deep and i thank you
and wonder at these mystic ties
that hold that eternal promise you made
to be with me always before we said goodbye


and you have always held forth the light
and you have shown the way
through the hard times and the good times
you are there when I take the time to pray


and so I bow deep at the alter of life
and I breathe in your presence in me
and I dedicate these words to you Lord
until once again we meet
